Join in to help local patients in need at the spring Augustana University campus blood drive on Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm with blood drive registration in the Morrison Commons.
“Volunteers that are willing to come forward to give a special gift that will last a life time is the only way to impact the community’s blood supply,” states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. “Just one donation of blood will directly save three patients lives. This donation is regenerated and you are able to donate the gift of life in 56 days once again, saving another 3 lives. It is truly a way to provide a miracle to a person in need.”
Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed parent consent form), weigh 110 lbs or more and be in good general health. It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating blood. Please bring an ID with you at the time of donation. Community Blood Bank is not affiliated with other blood bank organizations and takes pride in being a self-sufficient organization, thanks to the generosity of our local blood donors.
