KRRO / HuHot to Host Annual Halloween Blood Drive Event

Sioux Falls, SD- KRRO Radio, HuHot (41st St. & Western Ave. location) and Community Blood Bank will team up to save lives at the annual KRRO Halloween blood drive event.  This special blood drive will be held on Friday, October 27 from 6:00 am to 10:00 am at HuHot (41st St. & Western Ave.).  All who donate will receive a great event t-shirt, certificate for a free appetizer at HuHot and register for a chance to win some great prizes.

“This event has been a staple for our fall blood supply for over 17 years,” states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank.  “Through the support of the KRRO encouraging those community members to give blood, over 3,000 lives have been saved throughout the years.  This is a grassroots effort to impact our community and keep blood supplies at adequate levels in our community.”

Those donating must be at least 16 years old, weight 110 lbs. or more and be in good general health.  It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluid prior to donating blood.  Please bring a valid I.D. with you at the time of the donation.
