Brookings, SD- SDSU and Community Blood Bank will partner up to help save local lives by hosting blood drives on campus in the months of September and October.
“Many service clubs and organizations will host the event and encourage students, faculty and professional staff to give the gift of life,” states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. “It takes a large group of volunteers to impact a community and keep the blood supply at healthy levels. Community Blood Bank is the only blood provider for Brookings, Sioux Falls and surrounding areas. We are in need of donors each day to reach our needs of 550 units per week. ”
Blood Drive dates / times include:
Tuesday, September 25: 9 am to 12:30 pm & 2 pm to 4 pm at the Student Center.
Wednesday, September 26: 12 pm to 5 pm at the Student Union.
Thursday, September 27: 12 pm to 5 pm at the Student Union.
Friday, September 28: 10 am to 3 pm at the Student Union.
Monday, October 1: 9 am to 11:30 am & 1 pm to 4 pm at the Student Union.
