The need for blood in the local are continues to increase as the cold and flu season makes its way into the community. Local donors are not able to donate blood if they experience cold or flu symptoms which as decreased the overall blood collections to help local patients in need. Community Blood Bank encourages those feeling well and healthy to give blood at a two stop community blood drive on Tuesday, February 4 from 7:30 am to 10:20 am at Village Northwest Unlimited and from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. Your donations will stay local for local use and impact patients in the community.

It is recommended a person eat and drink plenty of fluid prior to donating blood. Community Blood Bank is the only blood provider to Sanford Sheldon.
