The Sioux Falls Police Department will host a blood drive event during National Law Enforcement week to help ensure an adequate blood supply for the community as we head into the summer months. The blood drive will be held a the Law Enforcement Center in Sioux Falls (320 W. 4th St.) on Wednesday, May 15 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Donors donating at this event will directly impact the lives of local patients throughout the community and receive a special event t-shirt for their support.
“Community support is vital to maintaining the blood supply in Sioux Falls,” states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. “A simple 30 minute donation will save up to three lives and impact the family and friends connected to the patients. We are looking for regular blood donors, as well as first time donors to step up and save a life at this community event offered by Sioux Falls finest, the Sioux Falls Police Department.”
