“In the last 3 years, blood demand has continued to grow in the Sioux Falls area. The addition of an estimated 6,600 people moving into our community each year, makes it very challenging to maintain a strong blood supply for our patients, “states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. “It is important to our local health systems to have a strong blood supply to address multiple situation require blood transfusions. This blood drive event will keep our blood supply moving forward in the fall and give hope to patients in need of blood. Please give blood October 15 at the KELOLAND Studios. The life you save could be a neighbor, friend, or a family member.”
