Community Blood Bank serves as the sole blood provider to Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. That means when you give blood in Watertown, it does not leave. Your donation goes directly to your neighbors, helping cancer patients in active treatment, to patients undergoing surgery, and to trauma victims arriving in the emergency department following accidents. One donation can save up to three lives, all within your own community.
“Preparing the blood supply for a long holiday weekend takes a community. We have seen a heavy demand for blood in our community early on this summer. When a person commits to giving blood, they ensure blood will be available for emergency situations, to treat cancer patients, and to allow those requiring surgery to heal. We are asking everyone to support your local blood supply by joining us in saving lives in Watertown on July 1st and July 2nd.”
— Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank
