Brookings, SD, Blood is needed each day to treat seriously ill patients including cancer, surgery, and trauma patients. Your donation will directly impact the lives of patients at Brookings Health System and other local area hospitals. A blood donaiton usually takes 30 minutes and with just one donation up to three lives can be saved.
It is recommended for a person to eat a good meal within 3 hours prior to giving blood, drink plenty of fluids, and avoid drinking energy drinks or cafeinated beverages before donating. Please bring a form of I.D. with you to the blood drive.
