**Avera Tyler Hospital Hosts Community Blood Drive**
Tyler, MN – The Avera Tyler Hospital invites the community to participate in a vital blood drive on Tuesday, January 16, aimed at supporting local patients in need. The event will take place at Avera Tyler Hospital: from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Those willing to donate can schedule their appointment by visiting www.cbblifeblood.org, selecting “events” for January 16, or by calling 605-331-3222. As a token of appreciation, all blood donors will receive a $10 Subway gift card.
Lauri Hoffmann, Program Coordinator at Community Blood Bank, emphasized the importance of blood donations: “A single donation can offer life to up to 3 patients in our community. It takes just 30 minutes but leaves a lasting impact. As we enter the winter seasons, the need for blood rises due to elective surgeries and increased accidents as weather conditions compromise driving conditions. Your contribution ensures medical readiness for emergencies in our area.”
Community Blood Bank, a nonprofit cooperative of Sanford Medical Center and Avera McKennan Hospital, exclusively serves local hospitals, including Avera Tyler Hospital, Pipestone County Medical Center, Sanford Tracy Medical Center, Sanford Luverne, Sanford Worthington, Murray County Medical Center, and 28 others. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh 110 lbs. or more, and be in good health on the day of donation. IDs are required.
Join us in providing hope to our neighbors, friends, and family by donating blood with Community Blood Bank on Tuesday, January 16. Your donation remains local, directly benefiting patients in our community.
